Terms of Service — Kitchen Time
Last updated: November 5, 2026
The basics
These terms are an agreement between you and OmniVibe LLC ("we") about using Kitchen Time. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who can use it. You must be at least 13. If you're under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
Your account. Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. If you sign in with Google or Apple, keep that account secure too, since it opens your Kitchen Time account. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
Households. When you create or join a household, you choose to share the household pantry and lists, your name, and your allergens and dietary needs with its members. Paid extras bought by anyone in the household can be used by everyone in it. Household heads can invite people and manage the household. Anyone can leave at any time; what you added to shared lists stays with the household. Only invite people you trust, and only share what you're comfortable with them seeing.
People you look after. You can add someone who doesn't have their own account, such as your child, and keep their allergens, dietary needs and food journal for them. Only add someone you care for and are allowed to make these choices for (for a child, as their parent or legal guardian). You're responsible for what you enter about them, and you can remove them at any time.
Allergens and food safety
Kitchen Time's allergen and dietary checks are a helper, not a guarantee. Always read the product's label yourself before you eat or serve it.
- Checks use product information contributed by the public (Open Food Facts) and the label text the app can read from a photo. That information can be missing, outdated, or wrong, and recipes and ingredients change.
- When a check finds nothing, that is not a promise the food is safe. The app tells you what it checked and what it couldn't.
- Items you type in by hand are checked only by their name and brand.
- Brands to avoid are matched only against the brand and name a product lists, so a product can be missed.
- Expiry reminders, storage tips, and cooking guidance are general information. Use your own judgment about whether food is safe to eat.
- Estimated expiry dates are general guesses from typical storage times, not the date on the package.
- Kitchen Time is not a medical device and doesn't give medical or nutrition advice. If you have a serious allergy or a health condition, follow your doctor's guidance.
- The food and symptom journal only records what you log. It doesn't diagnose anything or say what caused a symptom. Share it with a doctor or dietitian if you need advice.
Your content
What you put into Kitchen Time (pantry items, lists, recipes, notes, photos) stays yours. You give us permission to store it, sync it, and show it to you and the household members you share it with, only so the app can work. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for what remains on shared household lists as described in the Privacy Policy.
Only add recipes and photos you have the right to use.
Using the app fairly
Please don't:
- break the law or help someone else do so with the app;
- try to get into other people's accounts or households, or to read data that isn't shared with you;
- interfere with the app or our servers, or scrape them with automated tools;
- use household features to harass anyone.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
Information from other services
Product details come from Open Food Facts and Open Products Facts, and recipe suggestions come from Spoonacular. We don't control those services, and their information may be incomplete or wrong. Following a link or recipe from them is at your own discretion.
Paid extras
Kitchen Time's main features are free. Some extras, like the Cooking 101 packs and Kitchen tools, are one-time purchases, sold on their own or as a bundle. There's no subscription. If you buy one:
- You pay through the App Store or Google Play, and their payment and refund rules apply. If the store refunds a purchase, that extra is locked again.
- The price and what each extra includes are shown before you buy.
- A purchase belongs to your Kitchen Time account. On a new phone, sign in and use Restore purchases on the Kitchen Time extras screen.
- While you're in a household, its members can use the extras you bought, and you can use theirs. That stops when you or they leave the household.
- We may add, change or stop offering extras. The ones you bought keep working for as long as we offer the app.
Disclaimers
We work hard to make Kitchen Time reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, always available, or that its information (including allergen, nutrition, product, and price information) is accurate or complete. Keep your own records of anything important.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, OmniVibe LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of Kitchen Time. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Kitchen Time and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or stop offering the app, in which case we'll give reasonable notice when we can.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first; most problems can be solved that way.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
